We have adopted and follow the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy's Ethical and Financial Accountability Code, which defines Donor's rights, Fundraising Practices and Financial Accountability. In addition, as a United Way Member Agency we are also bound by a Funding Agreement and fundraising policies related to supplementary fundraising.
Official Donation Receipts:
As a registered charity we are able to provide official donation receipts for $10.00 or more for charitable donations of money or goods and services. Where the donation is for goods and services we provide an official donation receipt for fair market value.
Our issuance of these donation receipts is governed by the federal Income Tax Act and monitored by the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.
We accept debit, credit cards, cheques and cash at the office!
