About

People In Motion is a non-profit which has been “Creating A Better Tomorrow” for people living with disabilities since 1989 by providing fitness, recreational, educational and social programs and services.
Our Para Transit bus offers transportation opportunities to our members so they can attend our programs and community events. It can also be chartered out to community for special events when available.

Disability Parking Permits for the City of Kamloops, surrounding areas, and northern British Columbia are issued by us. We also operate a ten acre scenic camp ground on White Lake fully accessible for people living with disabilities. The numerous programs that are offered give people living with disabilities the chance to socialize with others in the community.

Community & Inclusion

People living with disabilities face numerous barriers in their daily living that restrict their access to many opportunities taken for granted by community members not living with disabilities.

Building awareness of the challenges people living with disabilities face will promote a more caring and inclusive community.

Values Statement

For persons living with disabilities we believe in the right to
quality of life, respect & dignity.

Expanding opportunities to realize full potential, self-determination & independence.
